#blacklivesmatter

at this important moment in our nation’s history i’m holding a raffle for a framed photograph on monday, june 15. you will be entered into the raffle by sending me a receipt for your donation of $20 or more to one of the organizations listed below. each donation becomes one raffle entry. if you’d like to have 5 chances to win make 5 separate donations of at least $20. if you’re a full time student or in a financially compromised situation i’ll enter you into the raffle for a $10 donation, just send me a note with your donation receipt explaining your situation.

about the photograph

the photograph being raffled is convenience store, 29 palms, california and was taken in 2006. it is a 16”x20” palladium print framed with museum glass. please note i will ask for $25 to cover packing and shipping of the work to a u.s. address. the print is edition 2/10 and currently sells for $3000 unframed. it is printed on the now-discontinued cranes platinotype, one of the finest papers ever created for platinum printing. there are 7 prints remaining in the edition.

if you would like to understand more about support for black lives over white lives, brown lives, blue lives (etc.) please contact me directly, i’m happy to talk to you about that without judgement. i don’t recommend asking a black person—they’ve been trying to explain this for years and it’s time others took up the cause. email me, or talk to me in person, i’m here to educate others.
